FAQ

I called for a prescription refill, How long does it take for it to be processed?

This is a common question and a great question! There are a number of things that have to happen before/during refill requests such as; Confirming that you (the patient) have been to our practice within the last 3 months if so, we will see what medication you are requesting and have it filled to your previously used pharmacy. If you have not been here within the last 3 months we will require that you come in for a follow-up visit prior to having your prescription filled.

At Cerium Medical Group we try to have medication refills processed within 24-48hours of the request. Some Pharmacies may require the same amount of processing time but, you can confirm with them as well.

What is your Cancellation/ No Show Policy?

Thank you for trusting your medical care to Cerium Medical Group. When you schedule an appointment with Cerium Medical Group we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please contact our office as soon as possible, and no later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

This gives us time to schedule other patients who may be waiting for an appointment. Please see our Appointment Cancellation/No Show Policy below:

  • Effective April 1, 2021, any established patient who fails to show or cancel/reschedule an appointment and has not contacted our office with at least 48-hour’ notice will be considered a No Show and charged a fee up to $250.

  • If a second No Show or cancellation/reschedule with no 48-hour notice should occur the patient may be dismissed from Cerium Medical Group.

  • Any new patient who fails to show for their initial visit will not be rescheduled.

  • Any Fees assessed are charged to the patient, not the insurance company, and are due within 30-days.

  • As a courtesy, when time allows, we make reminder calls for appointments. If you do not receive a reminder call or message, the above Policy will remain in effect.

We understand there may be times when an unforeseen emergency occurs and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If you should experience extenuating circumstances please contact our Office Manager, who may be able to waive the No Show fee. What is my copay? Why am I being charged for this visit?

As a courtesy, we verify our patient’s insurance prior to their arrival. But please be advised if you have questions about any charges you may incur during your visit you will need to call your insurance company. Please also be aware prices and coverage are subject to change by your insurance after claims have been processed. All fees collected are based on what your insurance company has instructed us to collect for a particular visit.
